Facciamo insieme...Un fiore in stoffa a sei petali

Vi piacciono questi fiori in stoffa? Sono una libera interpretazione di uno spunto che ho afferrato "al volo" dal Blog di Sabrinaesse. E, siccome sono convinta che il mondo dei Blog sia una condivisione di risorse, grandi e piccole, colgo l'occasione per farvi vedere come li ho fatti io....

This morning I sewed two fabric flowers and I’d like to share them with you… Just waiting for Spring….
We can use them to embellish bags, to make hair pins, or simply as pins on our dress, and for everything else you like….

Occorrente: pezzetti di stoffa, ago e filo, bottoncini

We need: some stash fabric, thread and needle, buttons...


Per iniziare, tagliare dei cerchi dai pezzetti di tessuto che abbiamo scelto per i nostri sei petali. Va da sè che più sono grandi i cerchi, più viene grande il fiore.

First of all, you should choose the fabrics you want to use to sew the flower. After this, with something round, draw a circle on the fabric and cut it. Repeat it for six times. Naturally, bigger is the circle, bigger is the flower at the end…


Piegare il cerchio a metà, e poi di nuovo, ottenendo così un "triangolino"...

Now, we first fold up the circle in the middle, and then again for the second time

Una volta piegato, prendere il triangolo e passare dei punti filza alla sua base e poi arricciare...

Take the folded circle, that seems like a triangle, and sew it with long stitch on the border and then curl it.


Ripetere il procedimento fino a che tutti e sei i petali sono in fila.

Ora chiudiamo la corolla... Al centro del fiore si è formato un buco che ora andiamo a coprire...

Now we can sew the extrimities and make the flower.


...E lo copriamo con una coccardina che facciamo con il solito procedimento: tagliare un rettangolo di tessuto; passare dei punti filza alla base per tutta la lunghezza; arricciare e cucire insieme le estremità.

As we can see, in the centre of the flower, there is a hole and we must cover it. In this case, we can sew a little cockade with a different fabric. You know, it’s very simple: cut a rectangular piece of fabric, fold it up, sew long stitches along the border and curl.


Questo è il fiore con la coccardina poggiata.

Fissiamo la coccardina dal retro con ago e filo. Volendo, si può utilizzare anche la pistola a caldo con il silicone...

We can fix the cockade sewing it on the bottom of the flower, as I did, or using the hot glue, if you want.


Per finire, cerchiamo un bel bottoncino o qualsiasi altra cosa che possa completare ed abbellire il nostro fiore... Cuciamo il bottone o lo incolliamo...

I found a little button that matched very well with the colours of fabric, so I sewed it on the centre of the cockade.


E questo è il fiore finito. Veloce nell'esecuzione e bello a vedersi...
